Samyang Hot Chicken Ramen - Carbo (bowl version)

Here's a relatively new flavour in the Samyang Hot Chicken ramen series: Carbo!

It's short for carbonara, apparently.

Here's the sauce and carbonara powder packets!

So, funny thing is, I hesitated in trying out this flavour because I thought the "Carbo" at the end meant "carbohydrates." Like, how was I supposed to know that "carbo" was short for carbonara?! Even the Japaneses who are notorious for ridiculous abbreviations spell out carbonara in full! Well, whatever, at least now I know that the Koreans can be just as weird.

I transferred the noodles to a bowl after cooking it.

Time to add the powdered carbonara sauce!

Mmm, I can smell the carbonara flavour when I mixed it up with the noodles. Looks promising...

I added egg and furikake as well for substance.

Time to dig in!

And the verdict?

...

It's really, really good! It already tastes good as it is without the additional toppings I added. This is even better than the cheese flavour hot chicken ramen! I can actually taste the cheese in it! The noodles are noticeably thicker than the usual ones, which I didn't mind much. I guess it's to kinda imitate the feeling like you're eating pasta. Unfortunately the egg and the furikake I added mellowed out the flavour a bit, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless.

This is one of the more enjoyable hot chicken ramen noodles I've ever had. It's a shame I finished it so quickly, I wanted to enjoy it a while more... Looks like I'll be buying the larger packets when I get the chance! 8D

I'm actually glad I found out Carbo did not mean extra carbs. I rate this one a 9/10!
