What's this? A blog post in my food blog after 6 years of abandonment?!
Indeed it is! This is just a way for me to celebrate and record my first ever experience in a collab cafe with something I'm a huge fan of, and give a review of the food!

It's the HOLOSTARS EN bois!!!
The Doko Koko collab cafe is located in Lalaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, and it's the first time a HOLOSTARS EN collab has happened in my country. Being a huge fan of the boys, I would be doing myself a huge disservice if I did not go!!

And finally Altare, the first who debuted!
As you enter the cafe, the first ting you see are life-size cutouts of the boys. The theme of the collab is the Chinese/Lunar New Year (which starts on the 17th of February in 2026), as you can see! Merch exclusive to the collab is also sold there, which I bought after I had my fill of the food.
And now we go to the highlight of this blog post, THE FOOD! My goal was to order food themed after my Vtuber oshis and get some collectibles related to them.
So, let's start with dessert!
Why are we starting with dessert, you may ask? Well, the table I shared with my friend was a little small, so the dessert was the easiest for me to polish up to make space for all of the food to come to the table! This coffee pudding is Josuiji Shinri's dessert, themed after the copious amount of coffee he's started drinking since he joined HOLOSTARS!
The pudding itself didn't have a lot of taste to it, but paired with the sweetness of the honeycomb crumble and ice cream, the bitterness of the coffee, and the fullness of the banana, it becomes a nice dessert with multiple flavour profiles and textures that you can experiment with! Out of the dessert options in the menu, I knew I would enjoy this one!
Next we move onto the main dish!
Salad for a main dish? What is this tomfoolery?! Blame it on Jurard T. Rexford, he feeds crumbs to his fans! The man bullies us and we bully him in return. Also, that day happened to be Jurard's birthday, so I get to eat while listening to him screaming and fumbling to bake his birthday cake, and I get a free coaster when I purchase his themed food/drink.

I'M DOING THIS FOR YOU, BANCHOU!
The Caesar salad had a lot of salad dressing, so it was quite tasty! The croutons were also nice and crisp and not too hard! Unfortunately, there was maybe a little too much salad dressing, so the salad became overwhelming towards the end as I unveiled more sauce that sunk to the bottom the more I ate. (I also couldn't taste the grated cheese because of how much dressing there was. ;w;) Apart from that, the salad leaves were fresh and crisp. Overall, I think the dish could use a little less sauce for a more refreshing meal.
And now, for the drink!
There it is, the drink of my number one oshi, Banzoin Hakka! (I'm sorry birbo, I did not order the strawberry cheesecake because I find cheesecake to be a little too heavy for me. ;w;) The yam latte is purple to match his main colour, and it comes with a little paper charm with him on it!
I don't normally drink coffee, but this yam latte was pretty good! I opted for less sugar, so thankfully it wasn't too sweet and overbearing! In the menu picture, the latte had more purple to it, but for mine the purple was mostly at the bottom, so I'm not sure how much of the yam I'm tasting. Not that I'm complaining, since this latte tasted leagues better than another cafe's latte I had a couple of weeks prior.
Bonus snack!
My friend ordered a mango pizza to share with me! Both of us were curious as to how it tasted, since this was something that Octavio made once on his stream and insisted that it tasted good.
This thin-crust pizza was not bad, but I felt the taste was a little too mild. I'm not sure if it's because my taste buds were affected by the stronger-tasting salad, or if there was something missing. The combined taste of the mango with the cheese and chicken was interesting, but I feel like a sweeter mango would be more impactful? It's not a bad pizza, but I feel like it could have a little more spice added to it. (Something like black pepper or tabasco sauce as an option?)
Aftermeal!
After we filled out bellies, we paid for our meal and divided/traded some of our freebies! Then we went to the merch store to buy merch of our oshis!! (I'll post my haul in my Twitter at a later date, since it's getting late as I'm typing this.)
That's all about the collab cafe! If you're new to my food blog, check out my other food reviews and simple recipes! I won't be too active here, but I have a couple of things to post when I have the time.
And if you're interested in Vtubers but haven't watched the HOLOSTARS boys, you can view their profiles in the official website if you're curious! There are also clips of them on Youtube if you want to have a taste of what they're like!
Until the next time!
