Since Valentine's Day is coming up, I figured I should post my attempt (from 2 years ago) at making red velvet cookies. I used a recipe from this site called
Sally's Baking Addiction to make these cookies, and they turned out pretty good. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the dough-making process, so I'm only going to post pictures of the baking process. 8D;;; If you want the recipe, just click on this
recipe link. There are also lots of other red velvet cookie recipes you can find online so just pick whichever you fancy.

Coooookieeess |
This here is the dough after it's chilled overnight in the fridge.

It looks like plasticine with those creases from the cling wrap, lol |

Scooping the dough onto the baking trays~ |

Place them in the convection oven... |
|
And the extras go in the oven toaster. XD |
You may be wondering what those white bits in the dough were. Those are actually broken pieces of white chocolate. 8D; The recipe called for chocolate chips but since I didn't have any, I used some leftover white chocolate. A couple of people at the recipe's comments section mentioned using white chocolate chips and I liked the idea of the white chocolate on red velvet. It's got a nice contrast.

And they're done!! |
The recipe is fairly simple, and other than the cookies appearing dark brown instead of red, I was really pleased with how they turned out! (The white chocolate bits may look a little off-putting though. 8D;;;)

...Looking kinda brown, aren't they? |
The texture of the cookies were softer than I expected, kinda like cake, but I didn't mind. They were delicious! The taste of the white chocolate also goes well with the red velvet cookie. This should be something nice to give to your significant other for Valentine's.
I haven't done any baking in a long while but I wouldn't mind making these again. :D
