It's the new year, so let's kick it off with something explosive, the bowl version of the 2x Spicy Samyang Hot Chicken ramen!

I had no idea what I was getting into. |
Previously, I had tried the
cup version of these noodles. So, thinking that I can handle the spiciness of the 2x Spicy noodles, I decided to try the bowl version. I've got the additional toppings ready to mitigate the spiciness should it get too hot.

Alright, so let's try the noodles plain! ...Ok, this one is spicier than the cup version for some reason, which does not make sense since they're technically the same thing, with the difference being the quantity. Did something go wrong when I had the cup version?

Okay.... even after I've added the egg, furikake and seaweed, the thing is still really spicy! I had to stop and take a break about 3/4 into the meal! The seaweed did help in reducing the spiciness for a bit, but it ran out too quickly!

This... is definitely reaching unbearable spiciness for me. I could feel my stomach burning after finishing the noodles and drinking the rest of the sauce. Not to mention my nose is runny and there are tears in my eyes. Yup, this is definitely worthy of the 2x Spicy label. (I was too much in pain to analyse it properly but I assumed it was.) Anyway, eat it at your own risk. This thing is REALLY SPICY! The cup version, not so much.
I probably will not attempt to eat this again.... will rate it 9.7/10 for spiciness and 5.5/10 for enjoyability...
