American Nissin Cup Noodle - Spicy Lime Shrimp

Here's the Spicy Lime Shrimp flavour of the Nissin Cup Noodles of The West!

Time to see how it compares to the Spicy Chile Chicken flavour!

Here's how the top looks like.

And the ingredients list if anyone's interested.

Ooh, it's green this time!

Mm, nice and red.

Time to cook it!

You can refer to my previous post on how I cooked the noodles in a bowl.

And it's ready to eat!

Well, the soup certainly looks red and spicy. And it tastes... not as spicy as its colour suggests.

It is spicier than the Spicy Chile Chicken flavour, but it's definitely not as spicy as my local Nissin Spicy Seafood cup noodles (which I'm using as my benchmark and it happens to be one of my favourite flavours). Funnily, I think the taste of the lime in the soup is stronger than the spiciness of it. Also, for a shrimp noodle, there seems to be a lack of shrimp in it. There is my favourite corn in it, but it is not enough to save this dish from mediocrity.

Another disappointing cup noodle from the US... I'd say it's worse than the Spicy Chile Chicken flavour because as an Asian, this dish does not being anything unique to the table. I'd rate it a 5/10.

Once again, this is the cup noodle I'm using as my benchmark.
I know it's made in Singapore, but we're neighbours with similar tastes.
