We're back with the Carbo flavour! Previously I tried the (smaller)
bowl version and loved it, so I bought the regular packet for this flavour to savour it once more!

Yums~! |
|
The instructions are really simple for this one. O__O |
|
The noodles are like a disc, cute! |
|
Boiled the noodles~ |
|
Time to add the sauce! |
|
Now to add that cheesy carbonara goodness! |
|
Also added some furikake for substance. |
|
Add a soft-boiled egg (and some extra cheese) and it's done! |
Just look at that beauty!! The glistening golden colour of noodle, cheese and yolk.
So gorgeous...
|
LOOK AT IT AND BASK IN ITS GLORY!!! |
Ahem, let's see how it tastes compared to it's smaller bowl counterpart.
...
Oooh, it tastes so good! I love it!!!! The noodles are nice and chewy, and the egg yolk goes well with the rest of the sauce. Speaking of the sauce, it's not as spicy as I remember (prolly because of that extra cheese I added). I added a slice of cheese to the already cheesy noodle because I felt it was not cheesy enough when I tasted a bit of it earlier. So good...

Something about the colour yellow (or gold) is really appetising... Just thinking about all that delicious yolk
coating the noodles makes me drool... |
I can say I am satisfied with this portion. Maybe I should be more adventurous and add mushrooms and fried bacon/sausages to the noodles the next time I make it. (And maybe some herbs as well? Since it's carbonara I might as well make it Italian!)
I still rate it at 9/10 despite my overwhelming praises of it. There are still some things I need to add to the dish to make it perfect, but I'm not in a rush to do so. I'm quite pleased with what I have already.
(Update: I found that Korean dried seaweed goes well with these noodles too!)
