What's this? |
I just realised that there are a bunch of Japanese baums which I have tried but haven't posted yet on this blog! They're a couple of Muji baums and another couple of Marukin baums. I'll cover three of them in this post, and the fourth will be in a separate post because of how delicious it was. So, without further ado, let's start with the first baum!
Muji Marron Baum
Marron is a type of chestnut, if I'm not mistaken. The baum was quite pleasant and tasty, and it made me want to have a cup of tea to go with it.
Marukin Cheese Baum
This is the second baum from Marukin which I've tried. To be honest, I don't remember much about how this one tasted. All I remember was that I couldn't really taste the cheese, but it was still a nice and pleasant baum to have for tea and such.
Muji Maple Baum
This one was pretty recent. I had it during a trip to Japan some time last year, and I had it for breakfast in my hotel room. (Together with some complementary tea!)
There is a bit of a maple taste in the baum, and it's not too sweet. If I recall correctly, it also has a bit of bitterness in it, which I don't mind. It went well with the tea and is a nice snack to have. :D
The Fourth Baum
This fourth baum will have it's own post (which I will post later), because I think it's the best Japanese baumkuchen I've ever tasted! I also bought it on that same trip where I had that maple baum, and brought it back to savour it in the comforts of my home.
In the meantime, here's a sneak peek of the back of the packet for this fourth baum!
