This is another Japanese cup noodle flavour I got recently. It's from the time of the Winter Olympics 2018. The flavour is based on sundubu-jjigae, a Korean soft tofu stew (because the Winter Olympics was held at Pyeongchang, South Korea). The big red kanji says that there's pure/genuine tofu in it, so it should be good.

I like that it's made to support the Japanese participants in the Winter Olympics. |

The top cover. |
Actually, when I bought this cup noodle I had no idea what the flavour was. Before that, I had never heard of sundubu-jjigae, and the tofu looked like luncheon meat to me. (I felt a bit iffy about it.) Oh, how wrong I was...

The large black words basically says "Ganbare! Nippon!" |

Snowboarding dude(ette?). Why no Yuzuru Hanyu!? |
|
The inside. Nice white tofu and intense red chilli powder! |
|
Ooh~ |

Time to dig in! |
When I tried it, it's... actually pleasantly spicy! The spiciness of the broth is mild but I don't mind it. It means I can fully enjoy the flavours without the sting, which is nice and pleasant. (I seem to be using the word 'pleasant' a lot lately in my food reviews, lol.)
The tofu is actually much softer than it looks, like, it's not hard or dry or anything like it was before I poured the hot water into the cup. That was a surprise. However, I can't taste much of the cheese. A shame. It's still a tasty cup noodle though!

A closer look at the red pleasantly spicy broth. |
I rate this a 9/10! It's really rare to get nice soft tofu in a cup noodle (if ever). The broth is also nice and pleasant. This might be one of the best cup noodles I've discovered in a while and I really regret not buying more of it. ;__; (Stupid pink tofu, making me think it's luncheon meat!) The Winter Olympics is over and I doubt this flavour is around anymore... I am sad.
